Cathy has been creating art all of her life. Since receiving a BA in Graphic Design from the University of Florida, she has worked extensively in the printing and production industry as an art director, freelance designer, teacher and design consultant before becoming a full-time artist.

The world of color, texture and light was a part of Cathy's early life growing up on the shores of Orlando’s Lake Eola. She experienced the magical changing of the fountain colors and found inspiration from the lake’s wide array of flower gardens, wildlife, migrating birds and natural Florida beauty. Her years as a Master Gardener and these early experiences of the richness and power of nature continue to be an influence on her as she develops new styles and explores painting in different mediums.
